Crafted from 100% Kyoto Uji tea, this black tea offers a natural sweetness and smooth mouthfeel, unlike imported black teas. Freshly harvested leaves have a sharp edge, so they are carefully aged over the summer to mellow the flavor. The result is a refined Kyoto black tea with a soft, well-rounded taste—perfect for a calming tea break. This is the only black tea from Morii that is harvested in summer. In black tea production, the second summer harvest is considered the peak season for quality. However, since our producer grows without pesticides, there’s always a risk of pest damage. To protect quality, the farm reserves many fields for black tea and selects only the healthy, undamaged leaves for harvesting. Though labor-intensive and with uncertain yields, this dedication ensures a pure, pesticide-free black tea.
